NEUROTOXIN 101

  • Does it hurt, and are there any side effects?

The needle being used is small, so you might experience a slight pinch, but the discomfort is very minimal.

After the treatment, some patients may experience mild redness, bruising, or swelling at the injection site, but these side effects are typically mild and resolve within a few hours to a few days.

  • Am I going to look "fake"?

We're here to assure you that our goal is always to make you look like the best version of yourself!

  • How long does it take to see results, and how long do they last?

Patients typically start to see the results of tox within a few days to a week after their treatment. The full effects of tox may take up to two weeks to become apparent, and individual results may vary depending on factors such as the amount of tox used, the area treated, and the individual's age and skin condition.

The effects of tox typically last anywhere from 3-6 months, but this can vary depending on the individual's metabolism, lifestyle factors, and the amount of tox used.

It's important to note that the longevity of tox results can be affected by factors such as sun exposure, smoking, and stress. To help prolong the effects of tox, it's important to practice good skin care habits, avoid sun exposure and protect your skin with sunscreen, and manage stress through healthy lifestyle habits.

  • What will my appointment be like?

When you arrive for your appointment, your provider will review all the forms you've completed. Together, you'll start by discussing your aesthetic goals for the treatment. Your provider will then explain the treatment process and offer valuable after-care advice.

For those receiving dermal filler treatment, your provider will apply topical numbing cream before proceeding with the treatment. Throughout the process, your provider will carefully guide you through each step, ensuring your comfort and understanding.

  • Why is a deposit required?

To ensure fairness for all our patients and to manage our schedule effectively, we do require a deposit for each service. Once your deposit is paid, it will be safely stored in your 'patient wallet' and will be credited towards the cost of your service when you visit us.

Should you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, rest assured that your deposit will remain securely in your wallet for future use.

DERMAL FILLER 101

  • What are dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers are biocompatible, injectable substances that create lift, add volume, and restore a more youthful appearance to certain areas of the face that show signs of aging.

  • What are the benefits of fillers?

As we age, we lose volume in key areas of the face. This contributes to folds, wrinkles, hollow temples, thinning lips, sunken eyes, and an older appearance to the face. Fillers can be used to restore this volume loss, smooth out folds and wrinkles, and improve contours to achieve natural results without altering facial expression. Certain fillers can also be used to correct scars.

  • How long do the results last?

The effects are long lasting but not permanent. They last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years, depending on a number of factors including the patient’s age, area treated, type of filler used, quantity of filler used, and lifestyle.

  • Does it hurt?

Most patients experience only mild discomfort. A local anesthetic cream can be applied to the skin prior to the treatment for a more comfortable experience. Many of our fillers are also formulated with lidocaine to help minimize discomfort.

  • Is there any downtime?

No! You can go right back to your normal routine. However, I always advise my patients that they may have some bruising or swelling, so it is best not to schedule a filler appointment right before any important event.
